Qurban Eid with D'amour Atelier

Wednesday, September 7, 2016

Qurban is around the corner so I thought I'd sneak in a quick post about this beyond beautiful kaftan/maxi dress from one of my favourite stores D'amour Atelier.
This black and white piece is perfect for Eid or any formal function.
I have said this before but I will say it again, anything you buy from D'amour Atelier will be of the top most quality as everything is hand picked.
If you live in Melbourne you can contact @damour_atelier via Instagram DM for a visit.

  1. What is the point of wearing a fully covered garment if it is see through. fashion is cool so why not dress up in a shirt and denim. At least you are better covered. Please be more judicious with picking your brands especially if you feel you represent the hijabistas which is all about modest dressing (fashionable acceptable, seethrough not)

    1. I love how critical comments are always posted anonymously. I am open to all comments and just to let you (and anyone else wondering) know i was actually wearing a cream coloured top beneath the dress so whatever it is you are seeing is not what you think it is. I am very picky with what i wear and the brands I work with. If people like you put this much energy into more important things in life this earth would be a much better place for it. I do agree a hijabi should not wear transparent clothing but i also believe you should always give your fellow human the benefit of the doubt and think the best. Rather then assuming i am a bad or deviant hijabi you should have thought "hmm maybe she was wearing something light underneath?" Or "maybe she genuinely didnt know". Some people need to really rethink the way they approach certain situations. And fyi, i definitely do not feel i represent hijabis and not have i ever stated that. Each to their own. Next time if you have concerns leave your contact details to discuss privately rather then flitting a comment in the wind and hope it hits home.
