Black Orchids

If you have been following me for a while you know I love a good quality classic abaya. In my opinion they can be the epitome of modest chic. When I was contacted by Black Orchids to choose an abaya for review, I was instantly struck by the elegance and practicality of the Oriental Flare abaya. It's cut is loose and drapes from the shoulder down. Its practicality comes from its thick fabric and button down front so it is a dream come true for nursing mums.

I chose the brown tone for the upcoming Aussie Autumn. It's beautiful muted shade and antique looking silver buttons are made for the cooler season but can also be worn in the Spring.
The Oriental Flare features a fully functional mandarin collar and gorgeous piping that matches well with its antique silver buttons.

As you can see the way this abaya drapes is very flattering.

Wearing a fully faux fur black clutch from Sammydress.com (full review to come soon inshallah)
Love the unique detail on the sleeve of the abaya! B for Black Orchids :)

The piping at the waist ads definition without compromising on modesty. It creates an illusion of a waistline but is actually very loose and not at all cinched in.

  3. Lovely pictures. I've been reading your blog for a few years now and it feels like your blogging style has completely changed. At first it was a bit more of a personal blog and life as a Turkish Aussie but now it feels like it's just all product reviews. Not criticizing... it's your blog and you're free to put what you like just miss your old blog that's all. But then I'm not really into product reviews etc.
