Review ~ INAYAH

Sunday, January 20, 2013

I was lucky enough to be sent something from the gorgeous and elegant label INAYAH to review and boy was I excited. I have always admired their beautiful and innovative designs so naturally when I received an email proposing a review I jumped at the chance. I was sent the scarlet braid abaya which is succinctly described on their website as:

"Elegant ruching featured around the waist of this beautiful abaya creates unique drapes and a flattering timeless design. Contrast the scarlet hue with one of our natural tone georgette hijabs and a suede clutch for a sophisticated evening look as see in our lookbook. To dress down the abaya; pair it up with our Oatmeal Batwing Cardigan."

I was also sent a gorgeous taupe toned georgette shawl hijab that complimented the abaya without overwhelming it.

The dress is a soft jersey fabric which is lined to avoid any sticky situations. The clever ruching at the front is excellent for hiding any wobbly bits you might have (especially if you are a mummy with a tummy!)

The back of the abaya is simple and comes with a long zip for easy wear and perfect fit.

I think this abaya can be worn in so many different settings and for a variety of occasions that it really is a must have in anyone's wardrobe. It can be worn as a gorgeous ladies night evening dress, jazzed up with funky accessories and killer shoes or it can also be worn in a more corporate occasion with a nice blazer and smart handbag. That's how versatile it is.

  5. Looks so beautiful. I'm a bit chubby, do you think the fabric will reveal my "extra" curves? Should I avoid this fabric?

  6. Tisa, salams! As long as you get your size then you will be fine as the abaya is fully lined so it doesn't really stick. Hope this helps!
