Product Review and What I Wore with Shawlland Hijab By Skarf

I know, I know.. Way too many product reviews but honestly I love to expose you to companies that cater to our needs! Is that a bad thing? Especially when they are so wallet friendly!
So I was given this shawl hijab from Skarf to wear and style according to the new trend that has hit Turkey. Well I tried and couldn't do it! They seen to fold the shawl so that it creates a very defined point at the top but every time I tried to do it, all I would get was this crazy crooked pointy sort of look (which my husband cracked up laughing at) so I gave up and stuck to my every day method. I pinned it the usual way round my face but I did throw the extra long ends over my shoulders to resemble the style I was trying to emulate. I must add that I love this style. So effortless and chic but make sure you wear a cardigan when you go out so that you can cover your chest area.

The shawl itself is a ShawlLand hijab and made out of a stunning voile cotton  that is thick enough to prevent slippage but is also fluid so that it sits just perfectly. I'm not a fan of too much 'poofyness' around my face but I also hate the really sucked in airtight hijab look that makes you look like a turtle, I like a little volume but not so much that it engulfs my face so this hijab is just right for that.
I chose this black floral print because a) it is gorgeous and b) it will go with a huge variety of colours. So head on over to Skarf for a HUGE selection of hijabs, shawls and under scarves for a fraction of the cost you would normally pay anywhere else.

Seyma, after you toss the long scarf ends over each shoulder, do you pin them in place with anything or are they just hanging over alone?

The reason I ask is that I've seen people pin them in place with matching pins (the long needle-like pins, I mean) by pinning the scarf to their shirt/collar but whenever I do it, it's not very comfy. How do you keep those ends in place so they aren't falling off your shoulders and gathering to the front?

Fayrouz, yes I did pin them down with black pins. you can leave them without pins so long as the hijab is really long and not slippery but this one isnt long enough so it needed pins :D
thankyou everyone!!
Umm Sultana no problem cant wait to see what you have!! xx seyma

I have the same hijab. I manage to do it. I don't wear a pin so need to wrap it twice but I do suffocate throughout the day.
