Product Review and AMARA Syria Fundraiser 2012 ~ Part 1 MY OUTFIT

I am so sorry for being M.I.A lately but in all honesty I was simply too busy to do much about it. The second AMARA fundraiser was held on Saturday and there was so much to do! Alhumdulillah it was a complete success. Over $24,000 was raised with the auctions alone and that is not taking into consideration all the other donations that have been deposited into the AMARA account. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the ladies involved in organising this fabulous night and an extra huge thank you to everyone who donated and turned up on the night to show their support. I will update the final number in the second part of this post along with more photos of the night inshallah.

My outfit for the special night was kindly provided by the beautiful Dania from Boutique Al-Khaleejia. I must say this abaya with its blinged out sleeves and contrast coloured panel at the front certainly had a WOW factor and was perfect for the formal dress code of the night. I absolutely loved this hybrid dress/abaya. The they way they combined a dress in the front with an abaya at the back is simply genius. The abaya also came with a stunning bedazzled shayla but I chose to wear my plain black shawl hijab instead as I wanted the abaya to have centre stage.
