Come Winter Come.. Melbourne Misses You

Monday, February 27, 2012

Today Melbourne had a little taste of the coming Winter months through heavy rain, thunder, lightning and black swollen clouds. It made me remember how much I enjoy the cold months, of how the rain smells on the clean earth, the sound of rain pitter patter'ing on the roof and windows, sipping hot sweet tea whilst watching an awesome thriller and of course the fabulous winter fashion! As much as I love summer and of the life it brings you have to admit we are pretty limited as hijabi's when it comes to summer fashion. That is why winter is more hijabi friendly. You can layer, you can throw on chunky knits, boots, wool skirts, faux fur, whatever you want! Here are a few looks I love and have loved for a long time as I keep them as inspiration for future looks I want to explore. If you have seen these before here on HR then I do apologise.

  3. I love them. Some better than others. I think every season except summer are great for hijabis. Although I love summer, I always find my style takes a downturn trying to deal with the sun. And all the longer length shirts that come out in the hotter weather tend to be way too sheer.

  4. Love these looks! I absolutely love fall. Being from the Northeast US...fall means cool weather (not freezing). It also means you do not have to cover up your cute and cozy outfit with a big old winter coat!
